Quality Instruments
at an Affordable Price
Instrument Rentals
Jason and Jenna Day take great pride in knowing that when you walk out of Day Violins it will be with a quality instrument with a great sound at an affordable price. Yes, we’re saying that student instruments are NOT all the same.
As a young musician learns to play it’s important they can achieve a great sound with a responsive instrument. Often, instruments purchased from online retailers or cheaper quality fail to offer this key experience which makes the student’s musical journey frustrating. The result? The student wants to quit.
Did you know that playing the violin burns 175 calories per hour? Get practicing and burn those calories!

3 things you need to know...
Here are three things you should know before renting an instrument from Day Violins:
1. Student instruments are available starting at $21.00/mo. You won’t find any “gotcha” billing with Day Violins, but just to make sure you understand the ins and outs we want to explain just a couple of things. First, there is a two month minimum rental time frame to start the rental agreement. After the two months, billing is conducted on a monthly basis. In order to not be charged for the next month you must return your instrument prior to the 1st or the 15th (depending on the day your regular recurring payment takes place.) We do not offer refunds or prorating of payments that have already been processed.
2. Our Strings to Scroll Maintenance Plan acts as protection for your rental instrument. Strings to Scroll Maintenance Plan fees start at $5.95/mo. We cover accidental damage, wear and tear on the instrument, bow, and case. It does not include negligent damage. We always offer it as part of our rental contract or feel free to contact us for more information.
3. Day Violins rental credit is a better deal then “rent-to-own.” As your student musician grows in experience and education they will need bigger sizes and better quality. If your student is stuck with an inferior instrument it could stall their progress. Our rental credit is 100 % of the base amount of rent (before taxes and maintenance fees) for the first year of rent and 50% of any year after. You can use that amount toward the purchase of any instrument at Day Violins.
